ja mam to iste ako pise SHRAP , nieje sam , poznam este jedneho co im to robi , no nikto nevie co s tym , mne to robi uz asi rok , ci je teplo alebo hlavne zima , tiez ma postrasili ze to moze byt cerpadlom , no nemyslym si , po roku by asi uz davno odislo , potom bol napad este nahrat novsi soft do RJ , no ale teda pockam na SHRAPa ako dopadol

Mě to asi před 14 dny začalo po startu za studena dělat něco podobnýho. Když nastartuju tak si zakolísaj otáčky ale jen tak lehce (800-1200). Já popojedu a pak se jede asi 300m z kopce a tam to lítá už znatelně, když to nechám na volnoběh (600-1600) a dost nahodile. Za tepla už v pohodě.

Got this sorted. Ford know about this issue. It's when the fuel pump gets a bit old and struggles to make pressure on start up. They still relived me of £70 to fix it mind!!! How nice of them!! Sorted now

eště jeden tip, bráchanec má 2,0tdci 2004 a popisoval něco podobnýho, posledně mi řikal že odpojil hadičky přepadu a že v tom byl tlak ( což by asi bejt neměl ne?) no připojil to zpátky a auto jak nový, motor prej tichej, studený starty na poho

Odkaz na to UK forum (resp. primo na ten topic) by nebyl? Jinak je to zajimavy info. Zejtra mam jit na diagnostiku do toho diesel servisu, ze prej otestujou postupne vsechno (napred vstriky, pak cerpadlo, prej ho i vyndaj a otestujou jakej dava tlak ...). No maximalni cena za to diagnostikovani je 4500,- ... tak nevim, jestli by nebylo levnejsi pockat, jak dopadne ivo s hadickama, pripadne teda zajet do Forda, aby mi tam udelali update RJ

This is quite a common problem on this engine and is due to additives in the fuel (normally supermarket) lacquering the tips of the injectors causing the minimum drive pulse of the injectors to go out of specification at low fuel rail pressures. Ford issued revised level software for the engine management to try to combat this. The revised software increases the fueling when the engine first starts, you may notice that the engine is slightly noisier with the new software due to the increase in fuel at idle. This in no way has any bearing on the driving of the car.
Ford TSB 34/2006 issued 14/12/06 covers this a copy of which you should be able to obtain from your local dealer, I can't post it here for copyright reasons. Any garage suitably equipped for engine management software updates can do this but I would recommend having it installed using Ford IDS. If after the software is installed the problem still occurs then unfortunately you will need reconditioned injectors. If any injectors are replaced then the correction values for the new injectors will need to be inputted in to the engine management.

"Should a customer express concern about low idle speed (500-700 rpm) and or no throttle repsonse for between 2 second and 3 minutes depending on vehicle, the probable cause is the minimum drive pulse (MDP) of the injectors, which has drifted excessively at low rail pressure (less than 400 bar). This causes a reduction in fuel delivery versus demand and stops the engine reaching the required idle speed in an acceptable time. The PCM does not detect the excessive MDP drift because the strategy does not learn the MDP at the pressures where the problem occurs.
After some time the idle speed will return to normal (800 rpm) and throttle repsonse will be obtained. This concern can occur when the engine is hot or cold. The issue is recurring.
To rectify this concern a new calibration has been released for service which will vary the quantity of fuel demanded during engine cranking in order to reach the idle latch speed in an acceptable time.
• NOTE: Use WDS CD B45 / IDS 46 DVD or a later version.
If the calibration does not fix the starting issue completely it is possible that this is in fact not caused by MDP drift of all injectors but another fault that is causing fuel starvation during cranking. Please carry out the appropriate fuel system tests either using the guided diagnostic tools available on WDS or follow the instructions in section 303-04 of FordEtis."
